Westport is well known for it's incredible fishing. On the main street through town, you're surrounded by adorable local shops, most food being delicious seafood. On the opposite side of the street, you have the Westport Harbor, each dock with an abundance of fishing boats and charters. You can purchase the freshest fish on the spot too!
The other little secret about this storybook town is the amazing surf. You walk along the beach and collect endless whole sand dollars while spotting baby sea lions and talented surfers riding the waves! I've never surfed before, although I would love to give it a try sometime. I do, however, enjoy the community of surfers, their relaxed personalities, and common goal to have a good time. Who doesn't?!
