Life Again

I'm excited to announce, that for the first time since I started this blog, I no longer need a countdown (or up) any longer! Yay! Welcome to our daily life and adventures as a complete family again!

I have so many great photos to share with you, but our days have been busy settling into some sort of summer routine, getting used to being together again, and understanding our roles in the home. It's been amazing to say the least. Our first two days were spent volunteering at the Relay for Life of Tacoma. I was offered the position of event photographer, and of course, I said Yes! I had been hoping Jeremy would be home in time, and I am so happy we were able to experience the Relay together. If you've never volunteered your time for your community or for the greater good, I highly recommend you do so. I couldn't have been more humbled. I have also never seen so many happy people, of all ages, races, and backgrounds, in one place EVER. And to see the survivors take the first lap - WOW! I was shaking so badly, trying not to cry, it was difficult to take photos. But I did. I also had to refrain from hugging everyone I came across. The stories and gratitude people shared with me for volunteering my time for them was endless. I am already looking forward to next year!

After the second day of Relay, I threw a surprise party to welcome Jeremy home with all of our close friends (photos to come). I don't know how I pulled that off so well, but it was amazing to have so many of our favorite people at our home.

Sunday was Father's Day. I felt on cloud nine to not only get to talk to my dad, brothers, and spend the day with my hubby. We simply celebrated our love and appreciation by spending time together. And that brings us to today :). I spoiled my family with homemade biscuits and gravy before we headed out for a few errands, which led us back home, grilling, and completing tasks around the house. It's incredible how different things feel in the three days since Jeremy's been home. The kids and I are all more rested and relaxed throughout our days, which brings lighter moods and happiness. I'm grateful that Jeremy always jumps right back into fatherhood and his typical routine things at home and in our daily lives.

Oh so delightful!
